We're on a Journey to inclusive Yoga for everyone
About Us
In this space, we believe that yoga is for everyone. Our inclusive classes are dedicated to supporting and celebrating diversity in all its forms.
Whether you're new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, we welcome you to join our community, where you'll find classes designed with care and consideration for neurodiverse individuals, as well as a warm embrace for the LGBTQ+ community.
Our mission is to create a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your practice at your own pace. Here, you are free to be yourself—exactly as you are. We understand that each body, mind, and spirit is unique, and our classes are tailored to meet the diverse needs of every student.
At Wavy Yoga, we invite you to come to class just as you are—your most authentic, raw self.

Our Team
Yoga is a space to be open and honest with each other, so let me do this for you. My name is Wavy, I am “Queer as Hell”™, as well as being autistic and having ADHD. I also have a chronic pain condition and manage this as best I can through yoga and taking rest when I must.
I’ve been practicing yoga since I was a young teenager and then more consistently throughout university and since then. My practice was the only time I could find myself and was very much a coping mechanism during my early twenties. Finally, when life seemed to settle (slightly) and I started to understand myself more; I realised how subtly, Yoga had been saving my life for a decade. I had to know more, what if there were others out there like myself? Relying on a practice they didn’t fully understand just to get through the day? The universe spoke and there was one spot left on an intensive two-year training course with the Friends of Yoga (FRYOG) group, which I started the following month.
The FRYOG institute has been running since 1970, with subsequent involvement by the founders of also the British Wheel of Yoga and The Yoga for Health Foundation. The Honorary Director was known for teaching “gentle yoga with a smile,” something which warmed my heart when I read it initially. In 1994 FRYOG gained affiliation to The Institute for Complementary Medicine and then in 2007 with BCYT British Council for Yoga Therapy. The training I have received means I have also been awarded an International Teaching Diploma, meaning I am certified to teach abroad.
My experience is with classic hatha yoga, exploring deeply the 8 Limbs of Yoga as taught by Patanjali. I take into consideration to the best of my ability my privilege as an AFAB white person teaching a practice that is not of my own culture. While I honour the Sanskrit terms and life changing teachings within all my classes, ultimately, I will provide you with a class that is authentic most of all to my own experience and nature as a human on earth.

Sorry, allow us to translate this for you:
“My name is Wynnstan. I am cute and fluffy. I will occasionally escort my human to classes and be snoozing in the corner. Cuddles and kisses are welcome after class. I will try to keep snoring to a minimum.”
Wynnstan is a valued member of the team here at Wavy Yoga and does a great job at being a therapy dog for our students who need a cuddle. He is two years old, completely loveable and will be your best friend forever if you do “the baby voice.”
