Your class will start with a friendly hello and welcome from Wavy followed by a moment of quiet to allow your mind to arrive on the mat too. There will always be a gentle warm up and classes will generally follow a theme.
We love a sense of humour at Wavy Yoga – extra serious
is not our brand. However, we ARE serious about the care we take with you, working with any modifications we need to for each student. Which is why it is imperative every newcomer must fill out a medical questionnaire before attending. Regrettably we cannot teach pregnant students at this time.

Morning classes are one hour long, starting slowly to warm up the muscles and finishing with a bit of heat and vigour to get you on your feet and ready to tackle the day.
Evening classes give extra time for rest and relaxation before winding down for the evening.
What you WON’T get in your classes:
-
You will not hear mention of “masculine” and “feminine” in your class, as it is our belief that the stereotypes associated, are not constrained by gender.
-
You won’t get shamed for wearing what you want, as long as you are comfortable and can move safely, your teacher is happy.
-
You won’t be told to get into a pose if you are not comfortable to do so.
-
You will not be subject to overstimulating heavy perfumes, candles, and incense.
What you WILL get in your classes:
-
A safe space to be yourself, reconnect and feel empowered.
-
A chance to build a community with people who share similar beliefs.
-
An opportunity to cultivate a spiritual and physical practice that is both thousands of years old but will provide you moments of rebellious freedom.
